Reliance Jio has announced the introduction of mobile service in 22 flights of international routes. For this, Jio has also released an initial plan of Rs 499 per day. The airlines that will provide Jio’s mobile service include Cathay Pacific, Singapore Airlines, Emirates, Etihad Airways, Euro Wings, Lufthansa, Malindo Air, Biman Bangladesh Airlines and Alitalia.

With the introduction of in-flight mobile service, Jio will become the second Indian telecom company to provide in-flight mobile service. Earlier, Tata group firm Nelco started in-flight mobile service at Vistara Airlines of London Routes.
Three international roaming packs have been announced in India by Jio for those traveling abroad. This plan comes in 499 rupees, 699 rupees and 999 rupees. One day validity is available on these three plans. All these plans will be provided with 100 minutes for outgoing calls. Also, 100 SMS will be available.
Jio will get 250MB mobile data on a plan of Rs 499. At the same time, 500 MB data will be available on the plan of Rs 699, while the plan for Rs 999 will come with 1 GB of data.
However, there will be no facility for incoming calls on all three plans of Jio, while incoming SMS will be free.
Users using the in-flight mobile service for the first time will have to activate the plan on the Jio network. International roaming services will not work on JioPhone and Jio Wifi devices.
