New feature implemented in Google Drive from today, trash files will be deleted by themselves

There is going to be a change in Google Drive so that after 30 days, it will no longer have trash items. Its beginning today is going to start from October 13.

Google has said in a statement that from October 13, 2020, we are going to change our policy for items in trash in Google Drive. After this new policy, whatever files are in Google Drive Trash will be deleted automatically after 30 days.

After this change the trash files of Google Drive will work like other Google products like Gmail. Till now Google Drive used to keep all other files, including trash files, until the user can go and delete it himself.

The automatic trashing feature may be annoying for some people. But it also has real benefits. Because you count trash files that are not deleted by Google as part of drive storage.

To reach the information of this new feature, for this, a banner notification will be put on some selected Google Docs and Google Forms apps, including Google Drive by Google.
