The merit list of Post Graduation (PG) and Graduation (UG) courses will be released today in all government and aided colleges of Madhya Pradesh. Today is the last day of the fifth phase of college level counseling (CLC). To take admission, students are required to report to the college by 3 pm. Till now only half of the 10 lakh UG and PG seats have been filled. Not only this, private colleges have surrendered more than one lakh seats so far, whereas last year around 20 thousand seats were surrendered.
Nearly 50 thousand PG seats are vacant
There are a total of 1 lakh 79 thousand 204 seats of PG in the state. A total of 2 lakh 6 thousand 248 students registered for this, but only 1 lakh 30 thousand 164 students have taken admission. Students have the last chance to take admission on Monday. The fifth phase of CLC was started by the administration from 16 November to provide relief to the students, although still students are not willing to take regular admission.

Half of UG seats vacant
UG has a total of 8 lakh 56 thousand 130 seats in the state. So far, 5 lakh 39 thousand 823 students had registered. Out of these only about four and a half lakh students have taken admission. Today is the last day for new registrations. Admission will be given to students on the basis of merit.
