Reliance Jio recently announced that to disappoint its users, Jio will no longer offer free calling facility. Now, when calling from Jio number to any other network, users have to pay 6 paise per minute interconnect usage charge (IUC). But with this, the company has also made it clear that this will not affect the data plans or benefits that users get. On the other hand, if you want to get the facility of free calling on other networks, then for that you will have to recharge the IUC top-up voucher separately.
To provide free calling to users on other networks, the company has introduced some IUC top-up plans separately. Which includes plans ranging from Rs 10 to Rs 100. Using these plans, Jio prepaid users will be able to make free calling on Bharti Airtel, Vodafone, Idea, BSNL and other networks. If there are postpaid Jio users, then the charge of 6 paise per minute will be added to your bill.
The IUC top-up voucher includes a total of four plans of Rs 10, Rs 20, Rs 50 and Rs 100. Which users can choose according to their needs and in this, you will be given the facility of additional data in addition to free minutes for calling. The cheapest plan is Rs 10 and you will get 124 IUC minutes. Also, 1GB 4G data will also be available for free.
On the plan of Rs 20, you will get 249 IUC minutes and 2GB additional data free. Apart from this, if you buy a Rs 50 plan for Rs 50, then you will get 656 IUC minutes and 5GB extra data. At the same time, in the Rs 100 plan, users will get 10GB 4G data with 1,362 IUC minutes.
