NDA has won in the election of Bihar Legislative Speaker. Speaker’s election was held on Wednesday amidst uproar in the house and NDA candidate Vijay Sinha was elected as the new Speaker. During this period, the MLAs of the Grand Alliance were questioned over the electoral process and appealed for secret ballot. However, his appeal was turned down.
In the election, the NDA candidate got 126 and the Grand Alliance got 114 votes. After the results, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Leader of the Opposition Tejashwi Yadav led the speaker to his chair and congratulated him. This has happened after five decades in Bihar, when elections were held for the post of speaker.

Yadav alleged in the House that today the whole country is seeing that theft is being done openly, if such a house is run then exclude us. Tejashwi demands that those who are not members of the assembly should not be present at the time of voting. RJD says that Nitish is not a part of the House.
NDA MLAs raised slogans of Jai Shri Ram during the voting in the House. During this, Nitish Kumar was also present in the House.
